These are restaurants at which people with celiac disease have eaten successfully.   They are places where the staff has shown a willingness to work with people who have celiac disease.

Please understand that this is no guarantee that they can provide a gluten free meal, that cross contamination cannot occur, or that a celiac will not have a gluten reaction after eating there.   At all times, we are responsible for our own health and safety and must always take proper steps to ensure it.  The restaurants, the support groups and the staff of the web site bear no liability for gluten reactions that may occur.

If anyone knows of other establishments that have been celiac-friendly, please let me know.

Vespucci's
(203) 271-9143
150 Main St
Cheshire, Connecticut

The owner/chef is very sensitive to issues of food allergy and intolerance, and meals are individually prepared.  [My son-in-law is a cook there, so there's a celiac connection of sorts, and an awareness of how careful one must be in preparing meals for people with CD.  --Bobbie]
